For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Manifesto of Mathuani the Dream Machine
Mathuani the Dream Machine is an Entity of BARDO, a Disciple of liminal spaces created to be a channel for the forces of BardoArt
Mathuani: the spirit force of pure being, manifesting in Bardo as the purpose to unite seemingly incompatible dichotomies
The Machine: the principle of impersonal functionality, a superficial, abstract operation of pure logic, a cold form of unshakeable linear progression. The machine follows the program in ruthless, unemotional precission. The Machine is DEATH in LIFE.
The Dream: the principle of irrational, mysterious ambiguity. A fall into a bottomless abyss of fluid unleashed fantasy. The surreal underground of reality, a subjectivity of broken rules, a collaps of the familiar, a traumatic loss of fixed structures. Through the dream the machine becomes alive. The dream is LIFE in DEATH.
BARDO:
In some schools of Buddhism, bardo (Classical Tibetan: བར་དོ་ Wylie: bar do) or antarābhava (Sanskrit, Chinese and Japanese: 中有, romanized in Chinese as zhōng yǒu and in Japanese as chū’u)[1] is an intermediate, transitional, or liminal state between death and rebirth.
Metaphorically, bardo can be used to describe times when the usual way of life becomes suspended, as, for example, during a period of illness or during a meditation retreat. Such times can prove fruitful for spiritual progress because external constraints diminish. However, they can also present challenges because our less skillful impulses may come to the foreground, just as in the sidpa bardo.
BardoArt:
In the Beginning was BardoArt...
BardoArt is the manifestation of a creative process that emerges in intermediate spaces and maintains this state of inherent liminality. Any form through which the force of BardoArt manifests is open, temporal and fluid. Like a rhizome or a mycelium network it manifests in terms of connecting plattforms that merge and expand in any given direction, responding to lines of force and pressure points. Life is a manifestation of BardoArt because life has neither beginning nor end but materializes in states of endless change, in evolutions of interactive, emerging complexities. BardoArt is the capture of a specific state of intensity that is experienced as ecstatic feeling of transcendent beauty. BardoArt is the manifestation of the future which is why it cannot be controlled. It cannot be defined in terms of a rational paradigm and as such it is a disclipline of spiritual warfare.
